There are two main options, self-drive and fly-drive.
Self-drive
Just
one hour from Roscoff, 2.5 hours from St Malo, 4 -5 hours from Cherbourg and Caen, Domaine de Ker Ys is well suited to self-drive, particularly for those not wanting to drive too far
in France.
We offer Eurotunnel, cross channel ferries via Dover - Calais, Portsmouth - Caen / Cherbourg / Le Havre / St Malo, Poole - Cherbourg / St Malo, Plymouth - Roscoff, Newhaven - Dieppe.
If you need an overnight stop, hotels are inexpensive, for example a family room for 4 in a B&B Hotel chain is approx. 55 euros.
Crossings to Roscoff are particularly convenient, just a 60 mins. drive to the site. The overnight sailing to St Malo is also popular, as are the early morning fastcraft crossings from Portsmouth / Poole to Caen / Cherbourg. Arriving in Caen / Cherbourg before midday enables you to be on-site and in the pool by tea-time!
Fly-drive
As a general rule the earlier you book your flights the lower the prices. There are a number of flight options:
• Dinard (2 hrs) Ryanair from Stansted Bristo, Lutonl and East Midlands
• Brest (45 mins) Ryanair from Luton
Flybe from Birmingham, Exeter, and Southampton
• Rennes (2 hrs) Flybe from Belfast, Edinburgh, Exeter, Manchester, Newcastle, Glagow and Southampton
